“You believe me, but they dont…” He looked at Chaerin one last time before turning his head and watching as the police stumble in with their rushing footsteps. 

“There he is!" 

"He killed her I know it!”

“He wouldn’t of kept a bloody trail behind him if it wasn’t him.”

“It’s him I know its him! Arrest him!" 

"I-I-I swear I didn’t do it!” Young Bae raised his voice at the accusations from the staff and the trainees. He was scared, worried, and nervous. What would happen to his career, what would happen to his reputation, his name, his goals, his life. 

“if you didn’t do it, then why didn’t you get help?" 

"Why are you walking in blood then?" 

"I can explain…” he lets out an unsteady breath out of his mouth, trying to keep calm. “There was a scream upstairs…” he spoke slowly due to his scarred experience of it all. “I went upstairs, rushing to see who it was… It was quiet. Dead quiet. and next thing you know, I see her body on the floor…" 

"that’s a lie!" 

"how does that happen? How do you just see her body on the floor?" 

Police take note of Young Bae’s story but also notified him he was a suspect in the case due to his bloody footprints. 

"Do you have you any weapons, knives, or drugs on you?" 

Young Bae held his hands up as the officer pat his clothes, “No sir,” he answers straight forward. He faced Chaerin with a worried look on his face, knowing even she couldn’t do anything to help. He put his hands down as he was told to and proceeded to continue his story. “I will up there and show you myself where I found her… I didn’t do it! I swear!” 

"Taeyang-ssi, you are not allowed up there even if you wanted to show us, it is considered a crime scene and that floor is closed as our staff takes pictures and gather evidence as well as the body. I’m sorry, but you’re gonna have to wait until DNA samples are taken, and evidence proves you not guilty.” 

Young Bae took a deep breath, his eyes looking over at Chaerin after the officer made it loud and clear. “I DIDN’T DO IT!” He raised his voice once again, 

"Taeyang-ssi, Im gonna have to ask you to calm down." 

"Calm down?” Young Bae licks his lips shaking his head, “I’m being accused of murder and you’re gonna tell me to calm down?" 

Right before the officer could speak, the lights turned down and another scream echoed through the building. Young Bae took out his phone, quickly turning on the flashlight again, scanning the room to find Chaerin, “Come on let’s go! That’s exactly what I heard before I found her body! Let’s go!” He grabs her by the arm running for the stairs. 

“Hey! Come back here! Taeyang-ssi! YA! We got a code #209, suspect is loose, back up is needed." 

The officer spoke into his walkie talkie and proceeded to take out his flashlight hanging from his belt. He scanned the area with his flashlight to see where the two had ran off. 

Chaerin watched helplessly as the police searched her friend while everyone was going back and forth trying to blame Youngbae for all of this. She didn’t know what to do but to stay put and listen to Youngbae’s explanation before the police cut him talking about evidence..

Frowning slightly as she recalled the earlier events of the day when Jiyong has texted about his plans for the day..

Biting her lips nervously she turned to look at the police officer. "I have evidence! I know where Youngbae has been an–” She was cut off mid sentence when the lights flickered off followed by a blood curling scream. Frozen by fear and the darkness as she had no idea what was lurking around, until she saw the beam of light coming from Youngbae’s cell phone. She swallowed thickly before nodding her head before she willingly followed him he grabbed her lead her by the arm and lead her to the place where the scream came from.

Surrounded completely by darkness as they went upstairs, she clung to his arm as she squinted her eyes to look around. “Bae.. be careful, we don’t know who could be hiding here.."
